Success Story:
Aaron (5) came to BTN having played two recreational soccer seasons at a local program. In just 6 months of private lessons, Aaron has built tremendous confidence & is now playing with & against kids over two years older than he is.
His BTN Coach, Gus, made it to Aaron’s first game with his newest team, the “Black Panthers”. Aaron scored, not one, but two goals and had one assist in his teams 5-1 victory. When asked if he likes soccer, his response is usually, “I like it & I love it”.
Meet Coach Gus, Our Founder and Head Coach at BTN.
Gus is from San Diego, California. As a young player in the 90’s, he worked relentlessly to maximize his opportunities on the pitch. He has played the beautiful sport of soccer for over 15 years throughout his life. Gus started playing recreational soccer like most kids do and later played Club & High School soccer in the San Marcos, CA area.
He now possesses a 12U Coaching Certification along with a U.S Soccer Referee License. Having an inexplicable passion and love for soccer, Gus takes great pride in developing young players with a wide variety of skills.
Opportunities came up for him at a young age, however, financial hardship was always the reason he could not explore cross-continental options that were presented to him.
Today, Gus is giving back to the game he grew up loving. He is focused on player development and has a proven track record of maximizing youth potential.
